Welcome to the Wolfreton School and Sixth Form College website.

As one of the largest community schools in the East Riding of Yorkshire we have over 1680 students on roll from Year 7 through to Year 13. Through our curriculum we aim to provide all students with the opportunity to study appropriate courses that will not only interest and enthuse them but also lead to important and worthwhile qualifications. As a specialist Language school we place great importance on the study of modern foreign languages and we currently offer Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Spanish. All students have the opportunity to study a language from Year 7.

Our results continue to be above national standards at both GCSE and A level and our sixth form, which we operate as part of ‘The Consortium’, has over 300 students. We are delighted that many of our students continue into Higher Education studying at universities throughout the country.

We have recently had an Ofsted Inspection under the revised 2012 framework and although we were judged ‘Satisfactory’ overall inspectors recognised many strengths in student outcomes, teaching and learning and behaviour. Our challenge over the coming year is to build on these areas of strength and to ensure consistency across all areas of our work. Our aim remains ‘to become an outstanding’ school.
