Rewards

As a school we work hard to recognise, reward and celebrate the positives. House Points are the foundation of the school’s formal rewards system. Students collect House Points and these can be exchanged for individual rewards.

They also contribute to the House total, with Houses ultimately competing for the annually awarded House Cup. The House Points rewards system was created collaboratively by students and teachers.

The group identified and agreed the positives that should be rewarded and students worked to identify individual rewards that would be gained when threshold numbers of House Points were amassed.

Students are awarded House Points to recognise positives including:

  • Excellent effort
  • Good homework
  • Improvement
  • Academic achievement
  • Positive attitudes to learning
  • 100% attendance per week
  • 100% punctuality
  • Citizenship qualities
  • Making a positive contribution
  • Being involved in extra-curricular activities

Bronze, Silver, Gold, Sapphire, Emerald, Platinum and Diamond Awards recognise that a student has achieved key thresholds. The associated rewards increase in-line with the level of award.

Parents receive an update on their child’s House Points at each review point.  House totals can be found on the home page of the school website. This is updated half termly.
