Chair of Governors - Mrs Sharon Milner

Governor Category: Appointed by the LA

Background information: I am the Chair and Safe Guarding Link Governor. Appointed in February 2015, I also serve on the personnel committee. I have run my own marketing company since 2009 and previously worked in senior communications roles at KCOM Group and Tata Steel. I have also been a Trustee for The Consortium Academy Trust since its formation in September 2017 and serve on the Finance & Resources Committee and the Pay & Remuneration committee.

I am passionate about using my experience and skills to assist the school to continue to deliver an excellent learning environment, which encourages all children to achieve their potential. I live in Kirkella with my husband and two teenage sons. I have recently returned to my childhood passion of music, and can be found playing the flute in a local wind band.

Mr Adam Paffley

Governor Category: Staff Governor

Background information: I have been teaching at Wolfreton since 2010 and currently hold the post of Lead Teacher for ICT.  I have a Degree in Computer Science and, alongside our ICT courses, am looking forward to furthering our education in the field of Computing.  I am involved in a number of aspects of the school community, including educational trips, the Comenius project and the development of ‘Radio Wolf’.  I aspire to maintain strong, positive links with the Staff and Governing Body for the benefit of our students and their learning.

Mr Phil Matthews

Governor Category: Staff Governor

Background information: I have been a teacher for nearly twenty years, starting in schools in Hull and at Wolfreton for many years.  In addition, both of my children were students at Wolfreton and have gone on to successful degree courses.  I was elected as staff governor as I wanted an overview of the direction in which the school was heading and an input into the difficult choices that need to be made.

Mr Kevin Woodcock

Governor Category: Trust appointed Governor

Background information: I was previously a Parent Governor at Wolfreton for over 5 years and have recently joined the Governing Body again as a trust appointed Governor.  My youngest daughter is a student at Wolfreton.  I work for the East Riding of Yorkshire Council as a senior manager and feel that the skills and qualities required to undertake the role can be used to support and challenge the leadership at Wolfreton, ensuring that every student’s maximum potential is reached whilst their well-being always put first.
