Place Matters - Without Geography you are nowhere

To inspire a curiosity about the changing world in which we live. Place Matters.

Geography is engaging, interesting, relevant and dynamic.

You will be challenged to think creatively and sustainably in order to address and solve world issues.

The Geography curriculum at Wolfreton School and Sixth Form College is to inspire curiosity and a lifelong fascination with the world and its people. By providing students with knowledge of diverse places, environments, and the Earth's physical and human processes, we aim to deepen their understanding of how landscapes and environments are formed and how they evolve. Our curriculum equips students with the skills and frameworks to understand how the Earth's features are interconnected and change over time.

Through engaging, dynamic, and relevant content, students will develop contextual knowledge of significant global locations, hone their communication skills, and apply practical fieldwork and research methods. The curriculum encourages students to think creatively and sustainably to address real-world challenges, fostering an understanding of their role in shaping the world. Key geographical concepts, such as systems, globalisation, sustainability, and risk, are woven throughout the curriculum from Year 7 to Year 13, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the world and a thirst for continued learning.
