    Reception, accessible from Well Lane, is open from 8:00 am to 4:30pm Monday – Thursday, and 8:00 am – 4:00pm on Friday during school term-time.  Reception is not routinely open in the school holidays.

    Equally, we recognise there may be times when you may have concerns or wish to make a complaint about an aspect of our work. We aim to resolve concerns or complaints at the earliest possible stage and, where possible, informally.

    Remote Education

    In exceptional circumstances, in the event a child is unable to attend school, we follow the DfE’s guidance on providing remote education. The school may make learning resources available via student’s Microsoft Teams accounts and the online learning resources we subscribe to.  Wolfreton also makes use of the Oak National Academy to support the delivery of remote learning where appropriate.

    Safeguarding

    "Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility.  Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children.” KCSiE 

    At Wolfreton, we follow the child protection procedures set out by The Consortium Academy Trust and take account of the guidance issued by the Department for Education.

    Our Designated Safeguarding Lead and their Deputy are as follows: 

    Designated Safeguarding Lead:  Mr M Carruthers (Assistant Headteacher) 
    Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, and Safeguarding Manager:  Mrs R Cook 

    All members of the Senior Leadership Team, our Pastoral Managers and Heads of Year, as well as our SENDCOs and Attendance and Welfare Manager all complete advanced safeguarding training and together make up the Safeguarding Team. 

    All members of staff receive annual safeguarding training from the DSL and through National College.   

    An external review of safeguarding is commissioned through the Trust.

    16-19 Bursary Funding

    The Consortium Sixth Form College is in receipt of government funding to support young people who need financial assistance to enable them to complete their Post 16 Education. The 16 – 19 Bursary Fund is available to students subject to meeting eligibility criteria and students who make a bursary application in Year 12 will need to apply again in Year 13.
