About Us
Wolfreton is a vibrant, happy and ambitious school where students can thrive. As part of The Consortium Academy Trust, we are ambitious about the future - creating learning environments and excellence in teaching and learning that provide our children and young people with the best chance at a successful future.
We are a large, successful secondary school serving the Haltemprice area of the East Riding of Yorkshire. As a community of almost 1400 students, including a Sixth Form of over 130, young people can enjoy expert teaching, excellent care and a wealth of opportunities — whilst achieving strong results at both GCSE and A Level. Generations of families have chosen Wolfreton, and many more travel to join our community, where we believe the best is yet to come. Our values — Excellence, Endeavour and Respect — are known as The Wolfreton Way. They capture our high aspirations, our determination to give every child the very best, and our belief in working together to achieve success.
Focused on our vision of Shaping Positive Futures, we believe every child deserves the best possible education. Our ambitious and inclusive curriculum, taught by subject specialists, challenges and supports learners of all abilities. Whether aiming for top universities or needing additional support, our commitment is the same: to ignite fires and expand horizons, embedding learning that lasts and inspiring future study and careers.
At Wolfreton, our people are our greatest strength. We expect the very best from our students, and in return they benefit from expert teaching, exceptional pastoral care, and an enviable programme of enrichment through The Wolfreton Experience. Student voice is valued and heard, and our ever-developing facilities provide the ideal environment for young people to excel. I am incredibly proud to lead Wolfreton. This website offers a glimpse of what makes our school so special, but the best way to experience it is to visit us. We warmly invite you to attend one of our open events and explore Wolfreton life on Instagram @wolfretonsch.
