Link learning to earning
Developing a dynamic understanding of business and enterprise and its impacts on your world.
The Business curriculum aims to develop broader and more diverse thinking in learners. Work on activities that build knowledge and holistic understanding of key Business topics is central. Topics are then revisited and repeated over time to ensure reinforcement of all concepts and terminology that are the foundation for new and more complex principles and language. Business vocabulary development is carefully considered, and topics may be taught in a different order dependent on the needs and requirements of a particular element of your studies. High frequency terminology and concepts will be assessed and taught throughout. Succeed Shaping positive futures so that learners can contribute to wider society and life beyond school.
Learners who choose to study Business are often curious about the real world and cannot wait to be part of it after school. Planning a curriculum that allows learners to feel that they are participating in ‘real life business decision making’ is important. This then means that the learners understanding of the subject can use these big questions to develop a more sophisticated understanding. Through a range of units, we can develop writing, literacy, debating and teamwork skills helping learners to become ‘life and work ready’.
