Cambridge university visit feedback

Students returned from their residential visit to Kings College Cambridge more than a little bit in love with what they saw! The visit, which is part of the HE+ outreach programme, provides students with a fantastic opportunity to learn more about specific courses and the process of making competitive applications to the top universities, including Cambridge.

One of the students on the trip was Melissa, who said 'I found the trip to Cambridge very helpful as they provided key information about how to write your UCAS application - in particular, the personal statement element - and the Seminars set up were well planned as they accommodated to as many chosen subjects as possible. All the students were very welcoming and the tour around the campus was amazing - it’s such a beautiful college. They tried to show us as best they could what a true experience of studying at Cambridge would be like and even if you don’t decide to go to Cambridge in particular, it was a valuable experience of what your university experience may be like. I thoroughly enjoyed it and took away a lot of valuable advice!'

Sophie added 'I thoroughly enjoyed the Cambridge trip and particularly liked the q&a session with the students. It was very insightful to speak to them about their experiences at the university. Being able to look around the city was also exciting, because I had never been before. I do feel inspired to apply because it is such a renowned university, but at the same time I am cautious about the intense work load that comes with being there.'
