Investors In People
In November 2015, Wolfreton School and Sixth Form College was awarded the Investors in People Gold standard, joining the top 7% of accredited organisations across the UK who believe in realising the potential of their people.
The Investors in People award demonstrates our commitment to the training and development of all staff in order to continue to ensure the success of the school. The award involves everyone who works in and who supports the school, including teachers, support staff and governors.
As a school we have been committed to the Investors in People standard for almost 20 years. Our dedication to developing and supporting all staff was first recognised in 1997 and since then we have continued to meet and work to build on these achievements. We first achieved the Silver Award in 2009 and were delighted that our continued commitment was recognised at our most recent assessment where we achieved the Gold standard.
Headteacher Mr McCready said "We are delighted to be recognised by Investors in People as an organisation that meets the criteria for the Gold Award. We place great importance on the development of staff and have worked hard over the years to create a positive and supportive ethos and culture across the whole school. The IIP framework has supported our development for the last 18 years and we look forward to continuing our partnership long into the future."
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Wolfreton on their Gold standard. Such a high level of accreditation is the sign of great people management practice, and demonstrates a commitment to staff development and shows an organisation committed to being the very best it can be. Wolfreton should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
Steve Burrows, Managing Director of Investors in People North of England said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Wolfreton and I would like to congratulate the school on their success. We believe that good people make a great business and as a proven organisational development framework, Investors in People is designed to help organisations and their people to realise potential, enhance performance and meet goals. With their Gold accreditation, Wolfreton is certainly working to realise their people potential.”
