Easter Concert - an evening of 'firsts'

Mr Zobkiw, Associate Assistant Headteacher welcomed everyone to the Easter concert, saying 'It is a time of change here at Wolfreton and an evening of many firsts. This is the first concert in our new home. It is the first time that our students will have a chance to experience the acoustics and setup of the new theatre. It is also a chance to welcome a new member of the music team, Mr Douglas, to the school. You will see that the orchestra has grown dramatically and this shows the advantage of having all of our students together on one site. It is certainly the largest orchestra I have worked with in my time here at Wolfreton.

We have some fantastic Key Stage 3 students, and now they can work with the older students on a daily basis and aspire to be like them.  Tonight we will be presenting a range of soloists, our singing group and school orchestra. The students and staff give up many hours over the year in preparation for performances, for which I am very grateful. I hope you enjoy the performances of our students and have a restful Easter break.'
