Good luck to our new Facilities Manager Darren Wilson who will be taking part in the Marathon des Sables, the world's toughest footrace. The event is a seven day multi-staged ultra marathon, covering approximately 160 miles. Whilst some competitors visit exotic climes, Darren has been training across the Humber Bridge! He has also been fortunate to have the support of the University of Hull where he has been able to use facilities such as their heat acclimation chamber whilst, in return, their medical and physiology students have been able to use him as a guinea pig.
