The Wolfreton Rushanje Community
Partnership
Wolfreton School has had a formal link with BP Chemicals at Saltend in Hull for many years. A Team of BP and Wolfreton personnel meet formally twice a year to discuss strategies for the mutual involvement of the two organisations.
The Link Officer from BP was Mr Chris Roberts until October 2004 when he decided to retire from the company. Fortunately he still is involved with the partnership and supports it fully in many ways.
The Link Teacher from Wolfreton is Mr Derek Johnson
At a meeting in 1999 Chris Roberts brought to the attention of the group an opportunity from a BP linked compnay called Education Extra to bid for funding to facilitate extra curricular activities in schools. Derek Johnson made a successful bid for the Rushanje partnership and was successful in receiving £1000. Since then BP has made further contributions from its' matched funding scheme.
This has enabled us to provide finance to Rushanje on a regular basis.
