The Generator Arrives
End of March 2003 - After some delay clearing customs, the generator was collected by Ms
Lessons suspended at Rushanje School !!
Ms Turyasiimwa sent this message:
“
You should have seen what happened at school the day I arrived with
the generator. For the first time in my life I wished I had a video camera to
get the scene and send it to you. The excitment was too much and lessons had to
stopped for a whole hour. Students literally lifted me from the vehicle.
.All in all there was a lot of jubilating
I would never know how to show my gratitude. You have made life very easy
for us in a way you cannot imagine. I willsend you photographs of it very
soon.
Some students have written to the students whose names appeared in the news
papers you sent. (these were articles that appeared in the East Riding News and the Hull Daily Mail)
”
A Big thank you to everyone who contributed to this cause - A Turyasiimawa, Rushanje School
A Big thank you also to all those who helped in any way or who subscribed to the generator appeal. - D
