Teaching & Learning

Library

Our Library is a wonderful space at the heart of our school which highlights the value we place on reading and independent learning. Approximately 11,000 books are housed in the Library, with further items accessible through the Library's computerised catalogue, Eclipse.

The Library is also home to the Wolfreton Canon – 100 amazing books to read before you leave Wolfreton! Students who borrow books from the Canon can get their reading journals or planners stamped to gain house points and rewards.

Students are welcome to visit our Library to read or borrow books, complete homework, or participate in clubs. We have a Library pass system in place for visiting during breaks and lunchtime, and all students are welcome to use the library after school.

In addition to a fantastic book collection, our Library boasts relaxing reading spaces, a dedicated suite of computers, and the flexibility to be used by a class as a study space. The Library hosts a number of Literacy Reading lessons, literacy intervention sessions, and Library-based activities and induction lessons.

Students can also pick up any revision guides, planners, ties, or stationery they have purchased online through Arbor from the Library either during break times, or after school.
