Eating at Wolfreton

Wolfreton School Online

Wolfreton School was awarded Healthy School status in 2007. The school provides healthy food and drinks in line with the Government's food policy in schools. There is currently a breakfast, mid morning and lunchtime service on both sites.

The food and drinks provided in schools has changed radically in the last 3 years primarily due to Government legislation but also because of the schools commitment to encourage healthy life choices for students.

In 2008/09 we were one of six schools within the East Riding to work with the School Food Trust in a pilot study on the introduction of the nutrient based standards.

Environment

Wolfreton has five points of sale for food and drink :-

Lower School

Upper School

There has been significant investment in catering services over the last five years including new furniture; new serving area equipment and we have recently increased the outside seating areas on both sites following consultation with students.

Cashless Catering

Wolfreton operates a cashless catering system called IMPACT. Pupils use a swipe card at the till point instead of handing over cash. Money is added to the system either online at www.parentpay.com, cheque or by paying cash into a revaluation terminal at school.

Future developments

As part of the Healthy Schools initiative we are looking to improve our consultation processes with students and parents. If you have any suggestions on improving our catering services or maybe a favourite recipe we could consider for use, please contact us at enquiries@wolfreton.co.uk.
