Cottingham High School, Hessle High School, South Hunsley School and Wolfreton School are four distinctive schools. We have a shared commitment to excellence in academic achievement, care for the individual and continuous improvement.

Together, over many years, we have collaborated in the development of the Consortium, a partnership which opens up a vast resource for you to develop your individual talents.

We have highly qualified, experienced teaching staff, available all day every day, with an excellent record of success. You can meet your individual needs by choosing academic or vocational subjects or a combination of both.

The choice is huge. Joining the Consortium at any of the centres gives you access to all of them. You can do some subjects in the familiar surroundings of a school you have grown up in and take up the challenge of getting to know new places and people by following a course in one of the other centres.

We provide free transport and you will be instantly welcomed into the friendly atmosphere of the classrooms and common rooms you visit. You will have access to the modern, attractive facilities for study and recreation that all four of these refurbished and rapidly expanding schools can offer.

We have a shared approach to guiding your work and monitoring your progress. You will have all the guidance you need to take you to the next stage, whether it is university or employment.

Education does not just happen in the classroom. You will have plenty of opportunities to develop the extra skills and experience that will make your applications stand out. For instance you might choose to go on residential visits or help younger students or work for charity.
