In order to meet the needs of all our students we also provide a range of vocational courses and college link courses for students in years 10 and 11. After Year 11 the majority of our students enter our Sixth Form. Wolfreton is a member of a successful and long established sixth form partnership with two other local schools: Cottingham and Hessle. Together we have formed ‘The Consortium’ which provides a wide range of advanced AS (year 12) and A2 courses (year 13) for over 750 students. After AS and A2 examination over 75% of our Sixth Form students go on to university and other higher education colleges. Ofsted rated our sixth form provision as Good (March 2009).

Wolfreton provides an excellent education and the widest possible choice within available resources. We are proud of Wolfreton’s excellent record of academic and sporting success which prepares our students for their future lives and careers. I am confident that your child will have every opportunity to succeed at Wolfreton.
Wolfreton has been recognised as an Investor in People for the high standard of its staff development and communications. We are traditional enough to insist on high standards of school dress and behaviour. We are progressive enough to believe that students learn better when they are helped to take responsibility for their own learning and to work hard to achieve their full potential. We place great importance on student voice and our well attended Student Senate plays a proactive role in the decision-making process at the school. Our elected head boy and head girl are Associate Governors and attend full governing body meetings during their year of office. Wolfreton teachers are known for their caring approach with students of all abilities and give a great amount of time to extra-curricular activities. Annually, students take part in over 250 teams, clubs and events. We are committed to partnership working and we have strong links with schools in France and Germany as well as a school in Uganda which we support through our charity work.

We summarise our values in one sentence "Wolfreton: a caring community where learning is a foundation for life".
